According to Barna research, 47% of Christian Leaders have seriously considered quitting ministry. So why is Paul Gibbs, after 30 years, still passionately pursing God’s vision?
TBN UK recently broadcasted an interview with Pais Movement’s founder, Paul Gibbs.
During the interview Paul described how Pais Movement has been transforming the lives of young people in schools and communities across the world, and shared about how he came to discover the methods that Jesus used to commission his disciples.
The discovery of these methods has led to the development of the templates that Pais uses today to equip people in evangelism, discipleship, and Bible study.
“I’m about doing things the way that Jesus did. How did Jesus read and study scripture? How did Jesus disciple? Is that different from what we do today, and how do we rediscover that?”
These questions have led Paul to observe two different types of Christianity being practiced in today’s world – Christian-centric and Kingdom-centric. Paul describes Christian-centric Christianity as one that is self-focused: To pursue a good life, God’s way, so that he gives us what we want. Conversely,
Kingdom-centric Christianity is focused on pursing the heart of the King: To pursue God’s Kingdom, God’s way, so that we give him what he wants.
The pursuit of God’s kingdom above all else is the driving force behind Paul’s continued passion after 30 years, and the fuel used to propel Pais Movement into the future.
