about us

The Faroe Islands are located in the middle of the North Atlantic Ocean, between Iceland and Norway. The country was founded over 1000 years ago and is a rich mix between an old culture and an innovative spirit. We love music, family, creativity and tradition. The Faroe Islands are described as the last paradise on earth with its rocky mountains, black lava beaches, grassy rooftops and hospitable people. Faroese is our native language, but most people also speak English, Danish and other Scandinavian languages.

Christianity first came to the islands around year 1000, and is deeply embedded in the ways of the Faroese people. With Christianity being such an old and fundamental part of the Faroese culture, everyone knows about God and the stories in the Bible, but in the recent decades, people have started forgetting their relationship with Jesus. They look at church as more of a tradition, rather than a lifestyle. We want to give the people a reason and an opportunity to meet the powerful and loving Jesus.
There are a lot of churches planted on the islands compared to the amount of residents, and it is very clear that the churchgoers love God, but we wish to see these churches work together in unity, to serve and influence our society.

Kingdom Building in Scandinavia

The Delgado family have been Missionaries on the Faroe Islands since 2015. This is a short documentary of the kingdom building we have been collaborating together with the other churches. We believe bringing PAIS movement to the Faroe Islands will take this existing work to the next level and give it deeper roots and long lasting fruit.

Unique Aspects of Culture!

The Faroese have managed to protect their language through hundreds of years of global change. They take pride in it and it is well deserved. If you are able to pick up a phrase or two the locals will feel well respected.

Untamed – The Faroe Islands

The Faroe Islands is the best kept secret. It is very difficult to take a bad picture. You will be overwhelmed by God’s handiwork with the breathtaking landscapes around every corner. This is a definite bucket-list for any adventurer.
