Program Cost & Experience Comparison

5 Great Reasons to Choose a Pais Gap Year

1. It’s Completely Free: Housing, meals, training, and placements are fully covered—thanks to guaranteed sponsorship for successful applicants. No tuition. No fundraising. Just ministry.
2. Live Missionally in a Real Community: You won’t live on a campus—you’ll be placed with a host family and embedded in a local church and school.
3. Get Mentored and Developed: Receive world-class training, including award-winning methods like the “Because You’re Loved” evangelism approach and the “Haverim” Bible Study Method. Grow spiritually and develop leadership through daily coaching and hands-on ministry.
4. Join a Global Family and Choose Your Nation: Serve alongside apprentices in 20+ countries worldwide. You even get to select your preferred location.
5. Keep Going—If You Love It: Choose to continue into a second year of leadership or a third year focused on a specialized track (church, youth, media, support ministry, etc.). Pais will also help you transition into full-time salaried ministry if that’s your calling.

Where Can You Serve With Pais?

Choose from 20+ countries across six continents. Whether you want to serve in Africa, Europe, South America, or Asia, Pais gives you the chance to live missionally in a real-world context.

Still Deciding?

If you’re considering a gap year with purpose, compare what you’re getting. Most Christian gap year programs cost thousands of dollars, require you to fundraise, or limit your options. Pais is different: no cost, high impact, and real community-based mission training.
