The Pais Movement will train you for the apprenticeship you choose. We start with a 3-week intensive seminary-style conference before placing you as part of a team in your chosen nation.

You will serve in a church in order to empower others. Throughout the week, you will also serve, using your new found skills. Each apprenticeship comes with goals and standards and you will have various objectives that will help you grow in your character and spiritual development. By the end of an apprenticeship, everyone is surprised to see how much God has done in them and through them.

Previous apprentices often share stories of how they have grown in the following areas: Leadership, Confidence, Discipleship, Theology, Mentoring, Presentation and Communication.

Pais apprentices are well trained throughout the year. Beginning with 3-weeks of foundational training, the apprenticeship then moves to a more practical hands-on phase.

They are mentored bi-weekly by their Team Leaders and work through a specialized learning process after each piece of ministry. They will take part in additional training conferences throughout the year.

As well as 200-hours of seminary-style training, apprentices will join with Pais teams throughout the world and watch weekly interactive training videos called ‘Livewire’.

The Pais Movement offers the same apprenticeship in multiple nations.

We have teams on six continents: Europe, North America, South America, Africa, Asia, and Australia. Some of these nations are well established and have many of the Pais programs operating within them. Some are still being pioneered. In every nation however, the same course and training is provided and overseen by our specialized Pais Global resource team.

No matter what nation you choose, you will receive the same excellent Pais resources plus a certificate recognized by all our international partners.

The apprenticeship that Pais offers has three initial options as far as the length of time of a course. Further leadership and specific longterm staff positions are also available.

The traditional one-year option. This option starts at the beginning of the academic year, either August or January depending on the nation.

The eighteen-month option. This option is open to apprentices who want to join Pais mid-way through an academic year.

The three-year option. This gives extra training and exclusive interviews with speakers. In the third year, for qualifying applicants, Pais helps to secure financial support. All options can be extended and are offered in most nations.

One amazing fact that sets our apprenticeship apart from any other similar opportunities is that it’s free. However, to see the true value of the apprenticeship, click on the Value tab.

Your accommodation is provided for the year. This usually is with a family of the church you are serving with. You will have your own room and will be treated as a lodger although quite often you will rapidly become part of the family. As well as all of this, the conferences, mentoring, consultations and the 200+ hours of lectures and workshops are provided free.

Apprentices must provide their own spending money for personal items.

The information analyzed was provided from the 2010-2011 school year by the United States Department of Education and is used as a guide for the cost in each nation. This data included the annual costs of various public and private universities including both two-year to four-year schools. Data provided information on Room and Board, Tuition & Fees, and Books.

As an overview the minimum estimated value of an apprenticeship is $10,400*. This includes accommodation, at least two meals per day, all training and resources.

As far as accommodation and food, the data regarding Room and Board was evaluated in three separate ways: living on campus, living off campus with family, and living off campus not with family. Living with family was obviously the most affordable way to go with an average annual cost of $4,200. Living on campus with room and board provided average $11,717 per year and living off campus not with family the average is $12,664. When determining the value for room and board, we used the average value for both public and private, and two and four-year universities and averaged the off campus values for both living with family and not with family.

Regarding training, there was a fairly wide range of costs for the average tuition and fees, from the low end of $2,792 ($116/credit hour) for a two-year public college to $26,769 ($1,115/credit hour) for a four-year private, non-profit university.
While we believe our teaching could compare in quality to that in a private university, we recognize that much of the cost associated with tuition is due to the university’s accreditation. Since we are not currently accredited, we used the lowest value per credit hour of $116 when determining the tuition value of our apprenticeship. We researched several independent, non-accredited Bible schools and found most had tuition rates between $100-300 per credit hour. We believe using the value of $116/credit hour gives a very conservative value to the training each apprentice receives.
First-year Pais apprentices will spend approximately 190 hours in formal training over the course of a year. This would equate to 6.33 credit hours per semester or slightly under 13 over the course of a year. This credit hour equivalent does not include the forty or more hours a week the apprentices are working in the schools, churches, and communities they are located in. The practical application they are given through this experience has been compared to two years of formal seminary training according to some young adults who have done both.

The resources we currently offer include Adopt the Mission (ATM) packages to people outside of Pais at an approximate rate $500 per package. All materials included in the Adopt the Mission resource pack are included in the apprenticeship.

The apprenticeship also includes the administrative cost of providing a certificate, verified by our partners. There are also optional upgrades to receive a diploma and degree with Pais.
